Special Order & Transport Services Policy

Effective Date: September 14, 2026

For all special orders and transport services, please contact us using the link below or the "contact us" button in the top menu.

https://www.runjunaquarium.com/pages/contact

Please carefully review the policy details below before confirming your request.

This Special Order & Transport Services Policy applies to customer-sourced fish transport assistance, special-order fish purchases, domestic air cargo forwarding, and related services provided by RJ AQUA, operated by RunJun Aquarium LLC.

Before RJ AQUA proceeds with any service covered by this Policy, the customer will be provided with or given access to the then-current version of this Policy and asked to provide written or electronic confirmation of acceptance.

1. Customer-Sourced Fish Transport Assistance

Customers may independently select, purchase, and pay for fish from a third-party seller and request RJ AQUA to assist with transportation coordination to the United States.

Service fees are charged on a per-box basis and may vary between shipments depending on international freight, handling, inspection, documentation, and other applicable transportation-related costs.

The applicable service fee will be disclosed before transportation is arranged.

The customer is responsible for selecting the third-party seller and confirming the species, size, appearance, quality, condition, health, and accuracy of fish purchased independently from that seller.

RJ AQUA does not guarantee or assume responsibility for the quality, condition, description, size, appearance, health, or performance of fish independently purchased by the customer.

Only fish and shipments that comply with applicable U.S. import and transportation requirements will be accepted.

RJ AQUA reserves the right to refuse any species or shipment that is prohibited, restricted, improperly documented, or otherwise unsuitable for lawful importation or transportation.

Transportation Risk

The customer assumes the live-animal transportation risk for fish independently purchased by the customer and transported under this service.

RJ AQUA does not provide a live-arrival or mortality guarantee for customer-sourced fish.

Live-animal transportation involves inherent risks that cannot be completely eliminated.

RJ AQUA is not responsible for mortality, deterioration, injury, stress, delay, or other loss resulting from ordinary live-animal transportation risks or circumstances outside RJ AQUA's reasonable control, including carrier delays or cancellations, weather, temperature changes, government inspections, regulatory actions, and third-party carrier handling.

Mortality or other transportation-related loss does not, by itself, entitle the customer to a refund of RJ AQUA's service fee or third-party costs already incurred, except as required by applicable law.

Nothing in this Policy excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

2. Special-Order Fish Service

Customers may request that RJ AQUA locate and order specific fish by providing the requested species, approximate size, quantity, and other relevant requirements.

Deposits and Price Estimates

A deposit is required before RJ AQUA places or confirms a special order.

Before accepting the deposit, RJ AQUA will explain the applicable pricing basis and provide the customer with an estimated selling price or estimated price range based on information reasonably available at that time.

Because live fish may vary in size, coloration, pattern, condition, quality, availability, and market value, any estimate provided before arrival is an estimate and is not a guaranteed final selling price unless RJ AQUA expressly agrees otherwise in writing or electronically.

Final Pricing

After the fish arrive in the United States, final pricing will be determined in good faith using commercially reasonable factors, including the actual size, appearance, quality, condition, availability, and then-current U.S. market conditions.

Special-order transactions may receive preferred or special-order pricing depending on the applicable shipment and circumstances. Any discount or special pricing will be based on the final terms confirmed for that specific order.

If the final selling price remains within the estimated price or price range previously accepted by the customer, the customer will be responsible for completing the purchase at the applicable final price.

If the final selling price exceeds the upper end of the previously accepted estimated price range, RJ AQUA will obtain the customer's approval before final delivery.

If the customer declines a final price that exceeds the previously accepted estimated range, the customer may cancel the applicable transaction.

In that situation, RJ AQUA may retain only those amounts that were previously disclosed when applicable, actually incurred, directly related to that order, non-recoverable, and otherwise permitted by applicable law.

Any remaining deposit balance will be refunded or, with the customer's agreement, applied as credit toward a future order.

Quantity, Mortality, and Natural Variation

For special-order fish, RJ AQUA assumes the mortality risk until the fish arrive in the United States, complete the initial condition inspection, and are alive and reasonably available for delivery. The customer is charged only for fish that reach this stage alive and are available for delivery.

Fish that die before reaching this stage, are not shipped by the supplier, are missing from the shipment, or are clearly the wrong species will not be included in the final fish purchase price.

Final settlement for a special order will be based on the number of fish that reach this stage alive and are reasonably available for delivery to the customer.

If pre-delivery mortality reduces the final amount due below the deposit already paid, any remaining deposit balance will be refunded or, with the customer's agreement, applied toward a future order.

The customer acknowledges that live fish naturally vary between individual specimens.

Normal differences in coloration, pattern, body shape, fin appearance, markings, and other individual characteristics do not constitute a defect or grounds for rejection when the fish are the correct species and reasonably fall within the agreed size specifications.

If fish received are clearly the wrong species or materially differ from the specifications previously agreed upon, RJ AQUA and the customer will determine an appropriate resolution based on the circumstances.

If deceased fish are discovered during inspection or forwarding, the customer authorizes RJ AQUA to remove those fish as reasonably necessary.

RJ AQUA may document the deceased fish and their condition by photograph, video, or other reasonable means and may reasonably dispose of them after documentation unless otherwise agreed in advance.

Deposit Deductions and Customer Cancellation

Deposits will be applied toward the final purchase price.

If the requested fish become unavailable or RJ AQUA cannot place or complete the order before non-recoverable costs have been incurred, the customer may choose to receive a refund of the applicable deposit or apply it toward a future order.

If the customer cancels for personal reasons after RJ AQUA has reasonably relied on the customer's confirmed order, RJ AQUA may deduct from the deposit actual, directly related, and non-recoverable costs already incurred in connection with the order, including:

  • Non-refundable purchase amounts
  • Supplier deposits
  • Third-party payment processing charges
  • International or domestic transportation costs
  • Documentation, filing, inspection, or related processing costs
  • Other documented direct costs reasonably attributable to that specific order

When a deduction is made from a deposit, RJ AQUA will provide the customer with a reasonable summary of the principal deduction categories and amounts.

Any remaining deposit balance after permitted deductions will be refunded or, with the customer's agreement, applied toward a future order.

Any retention or deduction from a customer deposit will be limited to amounts permitted by applicable law.

3. Domestic Air Cargo Forwarding

For customers located outside RJ AQUA's local service area, RJ AQUA may assist with domestic air cargo forwarding after fish arrive in the United States.

Forwarding Services

Domestic forwarding is charged on a per-box basis and is separate from airline freight charges.

Depending on the condition of the shipment, forwarding services may include:

  • Opening and inspecting the shipment
  • Checking the condition of the fish
  • Verifying quantities
  • Removing deceased fish when necessary
  • Rebagging or reorganizing fish
  • Replacing or supplementing oxygen
  • Repacking the shipping container
  • Delivering the prepared shipment to the applicable air cargo carrier

By requesting forwarding service, the customer authorizes RJ AQUA to perform reasonable and necessary opening, handling, rebagging, oxygen replacement, and packaging adjustments based on the condition of the fish.

Documentation of Shipment Condition

RJ AQUA may photograph or record the exterior packaging, fish condition, quantity, opening and inspection process, repacking, and carrier handoff for order documentation, transportation records, internal quality control, and dispute resolution purposes.

Such photographs, videos, and related records are supplemental documentation only and do not constitute a contractual promise that every shipment, procedure, fish, or stage of handling will be continuously or comprehensively recorded.

Airline Freight Charges

Airline freight charges are not included in RJ AQUA's forwarding service fee.

When the applicable airline and route permit freight charges to be collected at destination, the customer may pay the airline directly when picking up the shipment.

If collect-at-destination payment is unavailable, RJ AQUA will advise the customer of the required payment arrangement before transportation is confirmed.

Airline freight rates, fuel surcharges, storage charges, handling charges, and other carrier-imposed fees are determined by the applicable carrier and are subject to change.

Carrier Transportation Risk

Flight schedules, routes, acceptance times, arrival times, cancellations, delays, and pickup requirements are controlled by the applicable air cargo carrier and may change without notice.

After a properly prepared shipment has been formally accepted by the air cargo carrier, risks arising from carrier delays, cancellations, weather, temperature changes, routing changes, carrier handling, and other circumstances outside RJ AQUA's reasonable control are assumed by the customer and are subject to the applicable carrier's rules and claims procedures.

Transportation mortality or other loss after carrier acceptance does not, by itself, entitle the customer to a refund of RJ AQUA's forwarding service fee or carrier charges already incurred, except as required by applicable law.

Nothing in this section excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Customer Pickup Responsibility

The customer is responsible for confirming the destination airport, flight information, expected arrival time, identification requirements, payment requirements, and other carrier pickup procedures.

The customer must retrieve the shipment as promptly as reasonably possible after arrival.

RJ AQUA is not responsible for storage charges, re-transportation costs, deterioration in fish condition, mortality, or other loss resulting from the customer's delayed pickup, failure to remain reachable, failure to satisfy carrier identification or pickup requirements, failure to pay required carrier charges, or other circumstances caused by the customer.

4. Local Pickup and Temporary Holding

For fish that will be picked up locally after arriving in the United States:

  • The customer must complete any outstanding payment and pick up the fish within the time reasonably agreed upon after receiving notice that the fish are available.
  • If the customer cannot pick up the fish at the agreed time, the customer should contact RJ AQUA promptly to arrange an alternative pickup or temporary holding arrangement.
  • Continued holding, rebagging, repacking, additional care, or other services made necessary by delayed pickup may result in reasonable additional charges, which will be communicated when applicable.
  • The customer assumes the risks reasonably resulting from an unexcused or extended pickup delay, prolonged inability to contact the customer, or failure to pick up the fish within a subsequently agreed time, including deterioration in condition or mortality.
  • Nothing in this section excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

5. Live Animal Transportation Risk

The customer understands and accepts that fish are live animals and that international and domestic transportation involve inherent risks that cannot be completely eliminated.

Fish may experience stress, injury, deterioration, or mortality even when properly packed and handled.

Unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing or electronically, RJ AQUA does not provide a live-arrival or mortality guarantee for customer-sourced transport assistance or domestic air cargo forwarding.

This limitation does not apply to the pre-delivery mortality allocation for special-order fish described in Section 2.

Any separate guarantee or responsibility expressly assumed by RJ AQUA in writing or electronically will be governed by the specific terms applicable to that transaction.

Nothing in this Policy is intended to waive, exclude, or limit any liability that cannot lawfully be waived, excluded, or limited.

6. Legal and Regulatory Requirements

All services are subject to applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, wildlife import requirements, animal-health requirements, airport rules, and carrier policies.

Certain species may require permits, declarations, health certificates, inspections, designated ports, or other documentation or approvals.

Customers must provide accurate information regarding the requested species, quantity, origin, destination, and any other information reasonably required to arrange the applicable service.

RJ AQUA may refuse, suspend, or cancel any transportation or special-order request that cannot reasonably be completed in compliance with applicable legal, regulatory, documentation, inspection, or carrier requirements.

7. Third-Party Sellers, Carriers, and Authorities

RJ AQUA is not the seller of fish independently purchased by a customer from a third party.

Third-party sellers, airlines, freight carriers, customs brokers, government agencies, inspection authorities, and other independent service providers operate separately from RJ AQUA.

RJ AQUA does not control and cannot guarantee the pricing, schedule, performance, handling, inspection decisions, regulatory decisions, or other actions of independent third parties.

RJ AQUA remains responsible only for obligations expressly undertaken by RJ AQUA and for liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

8. Fees and Changes in Cost

International freight rates, domestic air cargo rates, fuel surcharges, inspection charges, documentation costs, exchange rates, market prices, and other transportation-related costs may change between shipments.

Accordingly, prices or service fees charged for a previous shipment do not guarantee pricing for a future shipment.

RJ AQUA will disclose applicable service fees, price estimates, and known material charges before confirming the applicable service whenever those amounts can reasonably be determined.

9. Policy Priority, Order-Specific Terms, Language, and Version

For customer-sourced transport assistance, special-order fish services, and domestic air cargo forwarding specifically covered by this Policy, this Policy controls over RJ AQUA's general website policies only with respect to the special-order, transport-assistance, deposit, pricing, mortality-risk allocation, and forwarding matters addressed here, unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing or electronically or required by applicable law.

If special-order fish are later shipped to the customer through RJ AQUA's ordinary retail delivery service, the then-applicable Shipping Policy, DOA Policy, and other applicable delivery terms will continue to govern that separate delivery stage unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing or electronically.

If RJ AQUA and the customer separately confirm specific terms for an individual order in writing or electronically, those order-specific confirmed terms will control over inconsistent general provisions for that transaction.

The version of this Policy actually provided or made available to the customer and expressly accepted when the applicable service is confirmed will govern that transaction.

Later amendments or updates will not retroactively modify a previously confirmed transaction unless both parties subsequently agree in writing or electronically.

This Policy may be provided in both English and Chinese for convenience.

In the event of any inconsistency between the English and Chinese versions, the English version will control, unless different order-specific terms are expressly agreed in writing or electronically or applicable law requires otherwise.

10. Customer Confirmation and Acceptance

Before RJ AQUA proceeds with a service covered by this Policy, RJ AQUA will provide, send, display, or otherwise make available the then-current version of this Policy.

The customer must provide written or electronic confirmation indicating acceptance before RJ AQUA proceeds.

Electronic confirmation may include email, text message, WeChat, messaging application, website communication, or another written electronic method.

Payment of a deposit or service fee may serve as part of the transaction record but will not be treated as the sole basis for establishing acceptance of this Policy.

11. Severability

If any provision of this Policy is determined to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law or limited as necessary.

The remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Nothing in this Policy is intended to waive, exclude, or limit any liability that cannot lawfully be waived, excluded, or limited.

  • 客人自行购买鱼只的代带服务;
